West Virginia Governor Jim Justice has declared a state holiday for all state employees for Wednesday as a day of remembrance for former President George H.W. Bush. In accordance with this declaration, the West Virginia Department of Education announced that all county schools will be closed in observance of the day of mourning. Spring Valley High School, along with all Wayne County Schools and Offices, will be close on December 5, 2018.
