Program Description:

The Personal Fitness and Wellness Training Program of Study focuses on knowledge, skills,
attitudes and practices required for careers relating to the field of coaching wellness for optimal
living including: wellness concepts integrating mind, body and spirit; foundations of physical and
emotional wellness; common conditions requiring wellness strategies; scope of practice; the
differences between fitness and wellness; wellness assessments; motivational theories,
principles and techniques; working with medical and allied professionals; and the development
of a personal wellness foundation.
