The students of Spring Valley High School were able to collect over 500 pairs of socks to donate to the Huntington City Mission.

Mrs. Van Arsdale’s Simulated Workplace Students organized a school-wide “Sock Drive for the Homeless.”  The students wanted to make a big impact on their homeless community around the holidays.  According the director at the Huntington City Mission, socks are one of the primary areas of need. Homeless people spend a lot of time walking and with the winter months upon us, socks are a necessity.
